It’s the day for Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani to voluntarily surrender before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as he had promised two days ago.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Minister had announced to appear before the anti-graft watchdog on Twitter account.
He wrote on July 4, “I am currently in Islamabad and return to Karachi tomorrow and would then plan to visit NAB Karachi”.
میں آج اسلام آباد میں ہوں اور کل کراچی واپس آؤنگا اور اگلے دن NAB کراچی جانے کا پلان کروں گا

It is yet to be seen whether the minister would abide by his words as there is a high probability that he might get arrested by the anti-graft body.
Earlier, the minister had accused NAB of partiality saying it was protecting PTI MPA Haleem Adil Sheikh.

Ghani had said that the anti-graft body had deliberately transferred Sheikh’s case to NAB from the anti-corruption establishment to prevent his apprehension.
The minister said that he had criticized the NAB chairman in the past too but a press release disclosed that a probe against him was also underway when he spoke against the Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly.
Ghani also asserted that even if the anti-corruption watchdog sought his three-month physical remand, he would not file a bail.
Speaking in favor of other PPP leaders, the Sindh education minister said that Khursheed Shah and Aijaz Jhakrani were facing NAB’s wrath for lampooning it.
Meanwhile, the anti-corruption body had refuted Ghani’s claims and also sent him a notice for misleading masses.
PPP stalwarts have also huddled up to support their leader and one of them is his daughter Narmeen Saeed Ghani who has wished her father before the ‘big day’, proving that he is visiting the NAB’s office today.

In another development on Monday, NAB has filed another case against PPP co-Chairman and ex-president Asif Ali Zardari for not disclosing his property in New York in his assets.
An answer has been sought from the ex-president on July 24.
