A Samaa TV reporter namely Yasir Feroz has lost his job for raising a tough question before Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari during his visit to the United States (US).

A video surfaced on social media in which the reporter of Aleem Khan-owned Samaa TV, Yasir Feroz was raising a question before FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari regarding the infrastructural changes in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led Sindh province which should be made after the devastating flood as the province would be kept vulnerable by climate effects if necessary actions are not taken.

He raised the question when FM Bilawal highlighted the miseries of flood-affected areas across Pakistan including Sindh province before the international community during his high-level engagements including in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.

However, the journalist’s question irked FM Bilawal as he criticised Feroz for knowing nothing about the flood situation in Sindh province.

The foreign minister replied that the journalist did not even physically visit the flood-affected areas as thousands of miles of land were hit by the flood.

He, however, did not properly answer his question about whether there are any infrastructural problems that flared the flood disasters under the leadership of the PPP.

Feroz questioned multiple times to get Bilawal’s opinion in the short video but he did not get a proper answer.

In another video, Yasir Feroz told the whole story about how he was treated by Samaa TV management and later lost his job.

The journalist said that he associated with the Samaa TV USA chapter for around eight years and covered several events for the news channel.

Feroz said that he was scolded by the management for breaking unnecessary stories from the USA which should not be aired. He added that he was asked to leave the WhatsApp group of the channel and when he followed it, he got terminated without any logical response from the management.

The journalist thanked the people who supported him as he covered several events of Pakistani leaders including FM Bilawal and Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb. He said that his termination order was an outcome of his question sessions with the top leaders in the US.
