School Building Knocked Down in Presence of Students

Due to the negligence of the Sindh Education Department, a school building in the metropolitan city has been partially knocked down without any prior notice to the school management.
Nazimabad Farqaleet Government Boys Secondary School was demolished under the supervision of police without informing the school management.
“The school was conducting routine activities with students inside the classrooms when the operation was carried out”, the school officials maintained.
Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) had already declared the building crumbled and signaled to bring it down a few days ago.

However, none of the SBCA officials were informed or taken into confidence when the demolition was carried out.
On the other hand, the officials part of the demolition operation have maintained that the building was knocked down in favor of students and the staff in the school.

“Provision of education at premises like this is perilous as the building was on the verge of collapse”, said the officials.
“The students will be shifted to another building and all the act was carried out in accordance with the law”, the officials added.
