School in Sindh Becomes a Dwelling For Livestock

Instead of serving as a learning station for students, a school in Dadu in Sindh province of Pakistan has converted into a dwelling for livestock.

The schools in Sindh have also reopened from February 1 like the rest of the country.

However, in the related school in Dadu, the inhabitants were not students but buffaloes as it was being used as a cattle pen.

Video footage shows the school building filled with bovines with their dung scattered all over the place.

The officials of the education department turned a blind eye to the matter that required utmost attention.

However, the opposition leader in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, reached there and forced out the animals from the building.

The opposition leader himself took part in the ‘ eviction operation’.

Haleem Adil Sheikh told News360 that the school was established in 2021 and it has converted into a cattle pen.

He said instead of accommodating the students, the school in the interior Sindh was serving as a dwelling for livestock and buffaloes were occupying its classrooms.

He referred to it as a reflection of the Sindh government’s interest in the education sector.

In response to this, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said in a presser that the school building was still under construction and the education department had not gained its possession yet.

Saeed Ghani maintained that until the government gains possession of a building, the contractor is the caretaker of the structure.
