Seminary student dies of brutal torture by educator in Kasur
A seminary student has lost his life after being subjected to brutal torture by an educator at a madressah in Kasur.
KASUR: A seminary student has lost his life after being subjected to brutal torture by an educator at a madressah in Kasur.
The incident took place in the Usman Wala town of Punjab’s Kasur district in which a seminary student died of educator’s torture.
The accused educator named Qari Waqas had allegedly tortured the seminary student for not memorising the lesson. After being brutally tortured, the student named Sharjeel succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to the hospital.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sheikhupura Faran Baig took notice of the gruesome incident and issued directives to immediately arrest the accused educator. The police officer said that the culprit did not deserve any kind of concession.
Following the directives, Kasur police swung into action and arrested Qari Waqas, said District Police Officer (DPO) Kasur Sohaib Ashraf.
A thorough investigation has been launched into the incident.
