After the changes in petrol prices were turned down by Prime Minister Imran Khan, a heated argument started between the Journalist Mansoor Ali Khan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill. 

According to Prime Minister, the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged for the next 15 days.

However, Gill in a post on Twitter, said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended an increase of Rs 6-7 per liter, which was later turned down by Khan. 

Earlier, To The Point host, Mansoor tweeted shared a post related to the increase in petroleum prices.

Shahbaz confronted him for sharing fake news without even apologizing.

After Gill commented, Khan also came forward with a response to counter his thoughts on spreading the misleading news and being unprofessional and added that he quoted the news from a renowned channel while reporting.

Khan countered the PTI official and said that he has some proof for the news.

Dr Shahbaz Gill didn’t stop and continued to express his anger and mentioned the time at which he had sent the message in a reporters’ group.

Mansoor claimed that Gill even lied to his own party on the report of transparency international.

The journalist maintained that in media, it’s the ‘job of seconds’ as the government official first shared the news about the hike in petroleum prices and after some minutes, retracted from it.

The battle continued and Gill tried to halt it by saying that he would stoop to the level of Mansoor Ali Khan and knew who he was working for.

Mansoor Ali Khan insisted the government official disclose the names of such people. However, Gill did not respond to the tweet.

He recalled the time when Shahbaz Gill was a fan of him but at that time, he was not part of the government.
