Shahbaz Gill Urged Fawad Chaudhry to Carve a Policy For Fake Ads
Earlier this year, CCP took action against four companies for misleading customers about their products
Special Assistant to the prime minister, Shahbaz Gill tagged Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry in a post against the prevalent mendacious claims in the advertisements.
Shehbaz Gill urged Fawad Chaudhry to design a policy to curb such advertisements. He was of the view that 80% of commercial of soaps and handwash claim to protect from covid-19.

Notably, earlier this year, the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) took action against four companies and show-cause notices were sent to Unilever Pakistan Limited, Kennol Petroleum, Dewan Stores, and Japan Lube for misleading consumers about their products.
