Shahbaz Gill, bail plea, sedition case, Islamabad police

The court adjourned the hearing of Shahbaz Gill’s bail plea till Monday, giving the Islamabad Police a last chance to present the records.

On the bail plea of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, the records could not be presented once again.

The court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge of Islamabad heard the bail plea of Shahbaz Gill in the sedition case, who was arrested on charges of inciting the rebellion.

Yesterday, the court expressed its displeasure over the records not being produced despite its orders to the Islamabad police.

The police officer had taken the stance that the investigating officer (IO) is in Karachi from where it is not possible to return so soon, so the hearing should be postponed till Monday.

However, the court had ordered that the record should be produced today (Saturday).

But even today, the police said that the IO had taken the record to Karachi, which could not reach Islamabad due to the closure of the road following rains and floods.

On which the court adjourned the hearing till Monday and gave the last chance to the police to present the record related to Shahbaz Gill’s arrest.
