Is Shahbaz Trying to Dodge FIA With Injury?

FIA had sent another legal notice 2 days ago to the opposition leader, alleging that transactions worth Rs 25 billion were made from 57 fake bank accounts

PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif slipped from the stairs yesterday but political experts are twisting his injury saying he is dodging FIA in the money laundering case.

The incident took place a day ago at the party secretariat in Model Town and since then, all his political activities have been suspended till recovery.

Talking to the media, PML-N Spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb said that the doctors have suggested physiotherapy and advised complete rest to Shahbaz.

Responding to the incident, many political analysts are painting the whole situation differently, saying that PML-N leaders use medical conditions as a strategy in the corruption cases running against them.

They connected dots with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) that had sent another legal notice to the opposition leader in the fake account and money laundering case just a couple of days ago.

In the notice, FIA alleged Shahbaz has made transactions worth Rs 25 billion from 57 fake bank accounts.

Shahbaz had been continuously reminded to submit answers but he remained silent on the matter.

Earlier in January, FIA had asked 5 questions to Shahbaz Sharif regarding money laundering case but he replied that this is a fabricated case.

Considering the current slipping incident, analysts say that similar is the case with Nawaz Sharif whose platelets dropped sharply when he was put in jail.

However, they commented that the health of the Sharif brothers turns normal when they reside in London.

On the other hand, Shahbaz Sharif’s wife Nusrat Shahbaz has been indicted in a money laundering case today.

The court adjourned Ashiana-e-Iqbal Housing and Ramazan Sugar Mills cases until October 18 with direction for witnesses to show up in the next hearing.
