In a strive to check up on her, the police paid a visit to the family on May 5 but no one appeared and the house seemed vacant.
While assuming that Saman took a flight to Pakistan with her family, the police investigated and found out that the only passengers who took the flight were her parents.
Investigators found out a video of nearby surveillance cameras that showed three people with two shovels, a bucket with a blue bag, and an unidentified tool.
The suspects could be seen walking towards a field behind Saman’s house in the video.
The video supported the police’s hypothesis of murder of the teenager and opened up new investigations for the body and the fugitives in Italy.
Hundreds of people organized a solidarity rally for the missing girl in the town hall of Novellara.
Lieutenant colonel Stefano Bove of the Carabinieri Police said that victim’s family members including the parents and her cousins are under investigation for murder.
“All are supposed to have taken part in the crime”, he suspected.
