He said that legislation is right of parliament and all institutions should play their role within the limits set by the constitution because it is indispensable for the integrity and security of country and the development and prosperity of the people.
He said that improvement of people and country means that system should be run according to constitution. For supremacy of constitution, all institutions have to play their role, and everyone has to respect law and constitution, but double standards are not in any society. Can’t be healthy and beneficial for you.
He said that the previous government targeted the opposition and jailed the opposition leaders in fabricated cases, oppressed the members of the opposition, and was not spared even in illness.
He said that in the past, someone’s wife was arrested on a moonlit night, someone’s daughter was arrested from jail, and there was no one to ask. Today, courts are providing bails day and night. Dozens of bails are granted in minutes. There is a double standard that no one will like.
The Prime Minister said that the supremacy of the Parliament and the Constitution and the law should be respected. It should be noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the Commonwealth meeting today, he will also attend the dinner of King Charles of Great Britain.
