Shireen Mazari terms SC verdict as ‘judicial coup’

Shireen Mazari, SC verdict, judicial coup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Shireen Mazari has termed the Supreme Court (SC) verdict over the deputy speaker’s ruling and National Assembly (NA) dissolution as a ‘judicial coup’.

The Supreme Court (SC) larger bench had declared the deputy speaker’s ruling as unconstitutional and reinstated the National Assembly (NA) besides ordering to conduct voting on the no-trust motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shireen Mazari said in Twitter messages, “A judicial coup happened last night down to ordering how & even at what time NA session must be held, ending parliamentary supremacy!”

“Sadly the issue of US attempt at regime change – the elephant in the room – which led to Dy Speaker ruling totally ignored. But this is not the end,” she added.

Mazari said, “The long shadows hanging over this judicial decision think the game has been won but frankly it has just started.  The people know who sold their souls to US & to lure of money & in the end, it will go to people’s court, despite ECP’s inexplicable reluctance!”
