Sindh Police Adds Mobile Workshops in Urban Flooding Unit
The mobile workshop has been stocked with all mechanical tools while experienced mechanics and auto electricians will stay on duties round the clock
Amid the monsoon season that hit Karachi this week, Sindh police have added mobile workshops for damaged vehicles in its Urban Flooding Rescue Unit.
The weather forecast predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms in the metropolitan city next week and Karachi police have gird up its loins to deal with damaged vehicles on the roads, for free.
Following the addition of boats and other equipment to tackle rain emergencies, the mobile workshops have been added to the Sindh Police Urban Flooding Unit.

Security and Emergency Services DIG Maqsood Ahmed Memon expressed that it was the duty of the police to serve the citizens.
“The mobile workshops have been added to the newly formed Urban Flooding Rescue Unit comprising Special Security Unit (SSU) commandos”, he added.
He said that the repair workshop will provide free services to stranded motorists.
The DIG also informed that the unit is well-equipped to deal with all sorts of rain emergencies.
Not only this, the mobile workshop has been stocked with all mechanical tools while experienced mechanics and auto electricians will stay on duties round the clock.
The officials informed that the teams will patrol in the affected areas during rainy season and citizens can also reach out to them by calling 15 emergency helpline.
