Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel unaware of Asif Zardari’s mental disorder

Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel’s party co-chairman Asif Zardari, who raised questions about mental health of Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, has himself testified about his mental health disorder.
Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel said in his press conference yesterday that there is a question mark on mental condition of Imran Khan, but he was not aware of mental condition of his party co-chairman.
According to medical report of PTI chairman, health minister said that his mental condition is not good. PPP leader Abdul Qadir Patel claimed that Imran Khan is addicted to alcohol and cocaine use.
Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir, belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), while testifying about PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s mental condition, forgot mental condition of his party’s co-chairman.

The British newspaper Financial Times claimed in a story in 2008 that PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and severe depression, including several mental illnesses.
The British daily reported in the report that Asif Zardari has submitted documents in the court in which he has stated that he has been suffering from severe mental health problems as recently as last year.
According to the Financial Times, documents submitted by Zardari’s lawyers at the High Court in London about his mental health showed that he was examined by two New York-based doctors.
According to the report published in the British newspaper, in the documents submitted to the court, psychologist Stephen Reich said that Asif Zardari is not able to remember the birthday of his wife and children, they are quite scared.
Psychiatrist Stephen Reich, in his report on former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, said that he was allegedly suffering from severe panic attacks and that he had been having suicidal thoughts.
In the responses submitted by Asif Zardari’s lawyers, the examination report of psychologist Philip Saltel was included. He had examined the co-chairman of the People’s Party in March 2007.
According to psychologist Philip Saltel, Asif Zardari has become unstable due to being in prison for a long time, his memory has also been affected, but he will recover within a year.
It should be remembered that the news related to the mental health of PPP Co-Chairman Asif Zardari was reported in the media in 2008 when he was busy preparing to take oath as the President of Pakistan.
Hussain Haroon, Pakistan’s former ambassador to the United Nations and a very close associate of the former president, said about his mental health that newspapers are reporting about his health out of context.
On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has announced to take legal action against Imran Khan after the Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel accused Imran Khan of narcotics and drinking alcohol.
In a statement on PTI’s social media accounts, it has been said that Imran Khan has given approval to bring Abdul Qadir Patel, NAB, Ministry of Health and doctors of Pims Hospital to justice.
Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Barrister Abuzar Salman Niazi has said that action will be taken against Abdul Qadir Patel’s shameful press conference and baseless allegations including defamation.
