Sinking economy will be stable: Military leadership assured business community
After the meeting, common opinion came out from business community was that now economic matters are not being looked after by Ishaq Dar but establishment directly

Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Army Chief General Asim Munir met top class businessmen of Pakistan yesterday. General Asim Munir assured that the situation is difficult, but not all is bad. Together we will get the country out of trouble. It is not Ishaq Dar but the establishment that is looking directly at the issues.
According to the details, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar attended the meeting on the request of Army Chief General Asim Munir on the meeting with the business community.
On Monday night, Army Chief General Asim Munir met 10 major businessmen of the country and assured them in the presence of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar that the economic situation is already bad, the possibility of default of the country has been overcome and we as will control the overall situation.

Sources say that Army Chief General Asim Munir appeared optimistic throughout the meeting and expressed confidence that the current economic difficulties will be overcome. He asked the business community to remain strong and confident in their place.
Sources said that during the address, General Asim repeatedly referred to Islamic teachings to assure his audience that Pakistan would successfully overcome the current hour of trial.
A businessman on condition of anonymity said that the businessmen had requested the army chief for this meeting. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was invited by the Army Chief to attend the meeting which the businessmen described as very successful.
According to sources, the Army Chief and the Finance Minister assured the business community that all IMF pre-conditions have been met and an agreement is expected to be signed in a few days.
Businessmen were told that commitments have been made to friendly countries for investments in agriculture, mining and IT. The government expects a high level of equity from these countries. The army chief said that the civil and military leadership worked together to fulfill these commitments.
The businessmen conveyed to the army chief that the nation expects the establishment to play its part in reducing the state of unrest and chaos.
Sources said the army chief said the army was playing its role and was trying to build a consensus.
Meeting with the army chief and the finance minister, the common opinion of the business community was that now the economic issues are not being looked at by finance minister Ishaq Dar, but by the establishment.
Speaking to News 360 on condition of anonymity, a businessman said that it was in a way an announcement by the Army Chief that Dar Sahib has failed, now we have to take care of things. He said that the Army Chief assured us that we are not defaulting, but Ishaq Dar has failed.
