A statue of national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal installed at Iqbal Park in Lahore has drawn absurdity from citizens who called for the authorities to abolish it.
People took to social media to express their patriotism, making it talk of the town.

The sculpture of the poet was not much appreciated by people and they believed that it was not carved by professionals. They requested the Lahore government to reconsider it.
There is no doubt that the government should have focused on designing of Allama Iqbal’s statue so as to avoid criticism.

One user on Twitter compared the poet’s sculpture with a 2-year old kid drawing.

Although, Pakistan is enriched with a lot of potential talent and various museums have been beautifully maintained throughout the country in remembrance of heroes.

To one’s wonder, the question of the town is why the government failed to approve such an immature design of the sculpture for a public park and secondly, why people are criticizing it after five months?
