Stalled Construction of Library Leaves Students in Doldrums

Qambar public Library construction

A library plays a vital role in serving as a tool of informal education but one of them in Qambar-Shahdadkot district in Sindh has a different story as its construction work has been stalled for the last 5 years.

According to the library officials, it was supposed to be handed over in 2016 but the continuous delays in the construction work have left the locals in deep trouble.

The stalled construction of the library is forcing thousands of residents of the district to go to nearby cities for the preparation of CSS and SPSC exams due to non-availability of a library.

Not just Qambar-Shahdadkot district, the provincial government during its ten-year-long tenure has failed to implement any concrete plan to establish public libraries in 16 districts of Sindh.
