State Seems Serious to Resolve Asad Ali Toor Case
Interior minister said that they were close to find a clue of one of the assaulters who thrashed the journalist in his apartment
The government is serious to resolve Asad Ali Toor attack case as the state institutions have been accused of being a possible perpetrator.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed addressed a press conference on Tuesday.
He said that they were close to find a clue of one of the assaulters who thrashed Asad Toor in his apartment.

The minister said that different departments including National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and Islamabad police were probing into the matter.
Sheikh Rasheed is certain that the fingerprints of the suspects would be identified in a couple of days while adding that the related institutions would publish advertisements in the newspapers if the assaulters are not traced in the given time.
He told that the people who attacked Asad Toor had previously been to the journalist’s apartment which was the reason they were not stopped on the reception.
Interior minister said successful tracing of suspects would silence those who blame agencies.
Further, the journalist Asad Ali Toor also shared a statement from the minister’s presser.

Meanwhile, the attack on Asad Toor had enraged the journalist community and senior anchorperson and seasoned journalist Hamid Mir had accused the army and military establishment behind the attack after following which his program has been off-aired.
