A suspicious blast in the posh locality of Lahore, Johar Town, claimed three lives including a policeman and left at least 17 people injured. Sources told News360 that an important religious and political leader lives close to the house where the blast has occurred.
The intense blast shattered windows of the nearby buildings while it also took a heavy toll on the house, where the explosion happened, too as a portion of it razed to the ground.
A 4-feet deep hole has appeared in the ground on the explosion site, the police said.
The rescue workers rushed to the site and moved the casualties to the hospital while the area has been cordoned off by the police.
The vehicles parked in a nearby car showroom were also damaged while a rickshaw was reportedly destroyed.
