Terror Financing: Pakistan Wants FATF to Act Against India
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi asked the money laundering watchdog to hold India accountable for its terror financing in Pakistan
After finding irrefutable evidence against India in financing terror activities, Pakistan asks Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to take action against neighboring India.
The intelligence agencies have found out Indian sponsorship behind Johar Town’s blast in Lahore on June 23 that claimed three lives and left 22 wounded.
National Security Adviser (NSA) Moeed Yusuf, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, and Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Inam Ghani held a joint presser on Sunday.

They disclosed before the nation that the author of the Lahore attack was an Indian citizen.
They added that the terrorist had links with the Indian intelligence agency, RAW.
NSA said that they had constantly reminded the international community about India’s financing of terrorism in Pakistan and the spread of disinformation through fake news outlets.
After the presser, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi asked FATF to hold India accountable for its terror financing in Pakistan.
He said that they had sent dossiers to United Nations (UN), the diplomatic community, and the media to make them aware of the hostile objectives of its neighbor.
He added that if the global money-laundering sentinel overlooked Indian actions, it would be dual standards.
The foreign minister said that FATF failing to notice terror financing actions of the nuclear-armed neighbor against Pakistan would create an impression that the forum is rather political than technical.
Notably, FATF recently retained Pakistan in its grey list despite that it fulfilled 26 of 27 items of the action plan.
Following this, Pakistan had alleged that India used backstairs influence to keep it on the list.
