ATC grants bail to Imran Khan in terrorism case

The ATC judge has granted bail to the PTI chief and ordered him to submit Rs100,000 surety bonds.

The special anti-terrorism court (ATC) has granted interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and stopped the police from arresting him in the terrorism case.

Additional Judge Ziba Chaudhry, IG Islamabad and DIG Islamabad and the accused PTI chief Imran Khan appeared in the ATC today.

The ATC judge granted Imran Khan’s bail on Rs100,000 surety bond. The ATC granted bail to Khan and stopped the police from arresting him till September 1.

The court granted Imran Khan’s bail and issued notices to the police and the plaintiff.

The court has directed the lawyers of the parties in the case to continue arguments in the next hearing.

When the hearing began, Chairman PTI Imran Khan appeared in the court along with his lawyer Babar Awan.

Lawyer Babar Awan said in his arguments that Imran Khan did not threaten anyone in his statement, but he said that we would take action and action was taken and the order of Additional Judge Ziba Chaudhry was also challenged.

Babar Awan said that the people who have been used in the FIR are not the plaintiffs of the three, IG Islamabad, DIG Islamabad and Additional Judge Ziba Chaudhry. While this complaint has been filed by another magistrate.

The court inquired whether a public prosecutor was in the courtroom, which was told that a preliminary hearing was still being held and the state had not yet received notice.

It may be recalled that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted transit bail to Imran Khan till August 25 at the request of Imran Khan’s lawyers Babar Awan and Faisal Chaudhry.

It should be noted that a case was registered against the PTI Chairman under Section 7 of Terrorism in Margalla police station.

The text of the FIR said that Imran Khan threatened the Additional Sessions Judge, IG Islamabad and DIG.

The day after the case was registered, the Islamabad High Court granted three-day bail to Imran Khan and ordered him to approach the Anti-Terrorism Court.
