ISLAMABAD: The offensive TikTok video of a girl doing a catwalk on the Faisal Mosque premises sparked anger among the netizens after it went viral.

A TikTok video surfaced on social media that showed a girl was doing catwalk in the Faisal Mosque – the national mosque of Pakistan located in the federal capital Islamabad – which invited anger on Twitter for violating the sanctity of the mosque.

The video was shared on Twitter by Islamabad Updates with the caption, “Who will take action on this indecency in Faisal Masjid Islamabad?”

A user namely Shuja Khan wrote, “Faisal Masjid has been turned into a park for TikTokers. And the mosque administration is also like them. They must have given her permission to go and spread this dirt there. And the worst thing is to defend this immorality.”

Another user said, “Now Faisal is being used as Faisal Park instead of Masjid, this is a normal thing now but much disrespectful things more than this are happening there, sorry but we are a very hypocritical nation.”

A netizen tagged the video to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, saying, “The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs and JUI may clarify it.”

A user said, “Such activities must be forbidden in masjid at least. A police officer should be deputed in all areas at Faisal Masjid.

It is unclear when the video was filmed and its authenticity is yet to be confirmed independently.
