Tortured body of teenage boy found in Karachi’s Bahadurabad

The police surgeon says that there are torture marks on the deceased boy's body. The post-mortem has also found evidence of sexual abuse of the child.

KARACHI:: A tortured body of a teenage boy was found near a private hospital in the Bahadurabad area of ​​Karachi. According to rescue sources, the woman who brought the body escaped from the spot.

According to police officials, a woman brought the boy to a private hospital for treatment, but the boy died when he was shifted to the hospital.

Police officials further say that the woman called an ambulance and asked the boy to be taken to the hospital. The woman told the rescue team you take the child, I will follow you, but as soon as the ambulance left with the boy, the woman disappeared.

Police officials also said that they are ascertaining the facts and the search for the woman has been started with the help of CCTV cameras.

The police surgeon said that there are marks of torture on the child’s body while in the post-mortem examination, evidence of sexual abuse was also found.

Police surgeon Samia Syed says that the child died of suffocation as per the initial report. Dr Samia Syed says that the cause of death will be determined after the report of the sample from the child’s body is sent to the laboratory.

Karachi police managed to arrest the accused woman and her son who confessed to killing the boy namely Aftab who is a resident of Punjab. It was learnt that the boy was working as a servant in their bungalow and the woman admitted to beating up the boy using a rolling pin for alleged theft of Rs20,000.

The woman told the police that the rolling pin hit the head of the boy and later his health condition worsened at night. She tried to treat him at her residence but his condition was not improved. She then took him to the hospital.

SSP East said that the car used to transport the boy was also seized. The deceased boy was identified as Aftah who is a resident of Punjab.

It should be noted that the CPLC released its report on the increasing crime in Karachi yesterday. The report said that an 11 per cent increase in street crimes was recorded in Karachi this year compared to last year.

It was stated in the report that more than 73,000 incidents of street crimes have been reported in Karachi this year, while more than 65,000 incidents were reported during the same period last year.
