The Punjab government has skipped the construction of a bridge over the sewage channel of a wastewater treatment plant in Kasur which has resulted in multiple accidents.

Until now, dozens of motorists have fallen off in the sewage as there is no proper road to reach the other side of it and the rugged path is unfenced.

According to details, the government installed a water treatment plant in Kasur and also constructed a bypass.

It connects the Dolay Wala area with Hussain Khan Road and dozens of surrounding villages are getting benefitted from it.

However, the government has skipped the construction of a bridge over the sewage channel to reach the other side.

The motorists are compelled to pass over the natural bumpy unfenced road. Owing to this, dozens of them have plunged into the sewage and got injured.

The locals have demanded the Punjab Chief Minister to immediately order the construction of a bridge over the passage.

On contact, the district officials said that the construction was pending due to unavailability of funds. They said it would be constructed as soon as the funds would be released.
