An American citizen living in Peshawar has applied for Pakistani citizenship in the Peshawar High Court (PHC) to go on Hajj.

According to the American citizen’s lawyer Saif Mohibullah Advocate, the American citizen has expressed his desire to live with his daughter in Peshawar and also perform Hajj, so he has submitted an application for Pakistani citizenship in the PHC.

After embracing Islam and marrying a Pakistani woman, the American citizen has submitted an application for Pakistani citizenship.

According to the American citizen’s lawyer, Saif Mohibullah Advocate, the American citizen is married to a resident of Peshawar. The American citizen has submitted an application for Pakistani citizenship under the Pakistan Citizens Act – 1951.

The applicant’s lawyer Saif Mohibullah Kakakhel, in a special conversation with News360, said that according to the filed application, the American citizen accepted Islam in 2018 and got married in 2020.

The lawyer further said that in his plea, the applicant stated that his daughter was born this year and now he wants to live with his daughter and wife in Pakistan not in America because there is a shortage of mosques in America.

He further said that the US man took a stand in the plea that now he is completely satisfied here in Pakistan, adding that there is no other man in his wife’s house who takes care of his family.

The lawyer further said that in view of the security situation, the US man does not want to reveal his name and identity and is not willing to talk to the media.
