The Punjab government had imposed vaccination card restriction on citizens and restricted unvaccinated ones from getting fuel from petrol pumps, staying in hotels, and using public transport which certainly has irked the locals.
The decision was taken in compliance with rapidly increasing covid-19 cases in the province.
News360 correspondent visited different fuel pumps and bus stations in Lahore on the first day of restriction.

The fuel station staffers informed News360 that they are rejecting the consumers without vaccination certificates on the directives of the owner.
One of the pump workers said that he was vaccinated and urged other citizens too for taking the jab.
“When we ask the consumers to show us their certificates, they usually get irked”, he said.
Most of the citizens were of the view that the dose is important but they don’t want the government to pressurize them.
One of the locals said that he waited for hours to get on public transport but due to the unavailability of the vaccination card, he wasn’t allowed enter the bus.
While replying to a question, he maintained that he was unvaccinated due to long working hours.
Other citizens who were vaccinated, maintained that the initiative of the Punjab government is commendable.
One such local expressed that his whole family is jabbed as it is the only solution to combat the deadly virus.
“The developed states are 100% vaccinated while states like Pakistan with low vaccination rate will remain isolated from the world”, he feared.
