A video has surfaced on social media that showed Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari being welcomed with slogans in Masjid-e-Nabavi PBUH.

Amid ongoing criticism against political sloganeering at the holiest sites, a video surfaced on social media that showed the PPP chairman along with the party leaders entering the Masjid-e-Nabavi PBUH while slogans are being raised to praise their visit to the holy site.

Most of the comments on the Twitter video negated the veracity of the video and termed it a doctored and edited version.

Another video posted on Facebook by a user Wajid Jellani displayed the same content but without slogans in which Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other PPP leaders were silently passing through the corridor of Masjid-e-Nabavi PBUH while no slogans were being raised.

Although, pilgrims were standing near to Bilawal-led contingent but no panic situation was seen.

The veracity of both videos is yet to be disclosed as no statement came from the political party or its media cell so far.

A heated debate is started after a group of pilgrims surrounded, manhandled the government delegation and chanted slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in one of the holiest sites of Muslims, Masjid-e-Nabavi Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH).

In one such condemnable act to convert the holy site of Masjid-e-Nabavi PBUH into a political battlefield, pilgrims surrounded Shahzain Bugti and Marriyum Aurangzeb while they shouted slogans, “Choor Choor!’
