A water tanker claimed the lives of two brothers on a motorcycle in North Karachi area of the metropolis on Thursday.
The water tanker ran over two brothers, Ameer Hamza, 15, and Bilal, 4, who were on a motorbike and crushed them to death.

The incident took place near their residence and the locals gathered at the spot to hold the driver.
Later, the police reached the crime scene and took the driver in custody.
As per details shared by police, the driver was reversing the vehicle in a narrow street when his truck hit the bike, causing the death of Ameer Hamza and Bilal.
It was learned during the investigation that the suspect was a 20-year-old unlicensed driver who worked for a local company.
A family member of the victims informed media that the area is facing shortage of water for past several months and due to this, water tankers are hired frequently. “My nephews were on the way to a nearby shop”, he said.
Later, the bodies were handed over to the mourning family after legal formalities.
