A section of political observers is speculating that the change in Maryam’s stance could be a result of Shahbaz Sharif’s mentoring of her niece right right after he was released from jail on bail last week.
The softening of tone towards rival PTI and hinting of an easy-way-out to the government for its remaining two years could only be due to counseling of the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) who believes in reconciliatory politics.
However, a circle of political analysts believes that Maryam Nawaz has learned from how things turned out with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) right after the Senate elections owing to which Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) deflated.
They assume that Maryam has perhaps realized that her party would not be able to create a significant impact on government sans PPP as the party rules the Sindh province and has the most number of Senators after ruling PTI.
