After citing the evolving political situation of the country, former premier and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif has summoned central leaders of his political party including PM Shehbaz Sharif for an important meeting in London.
Big decisions are likely to be taken in the upcoming meeting of PML-N central leaders in London with Nawaz Sharif including fresh elections, power-sharing, Punjab cabinet, prices of petroleum products and others.
Sources told News360 that Nawaz Sharif will convince PM Shehbaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders to commence preparations for fresh elections.
They said that Nawaz will advise the party leaders to come out of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s trap at the earliest, otherwise, PML-N could have borne a big political loss.
The sources said that PML-N has sensed that it could not bring any improvement to the national economy within the six months, so there would be the only option left to organise fresh elections. Nawaz Sharif is expected to order the PML-N central leaders to go for immediate elections to formally deliver the benefits to the nation through a clear mandate in the new tenure.
Prior to the departure of PML-N leaders, Khawaja Asif and Marriyum Aurangzeb told the media that the London tour is a private visit as all cabinet members are willing to meet Nawaz Sharif after taking their oaths.
