As Pakistan is getting battered by the delta variant during the 4th wave of coronavirus, the citizens are concerned if they will be able to celebrate the 74th birthday of the country with traditional energy and color.
With only ten days left in the independence day, Pakistanis are looking to paint the town green and white, however, the country’s covid scenario is speaking the opposite of it.
With the current NCOC figures, Pakistan’s positivity rate has reached 8.22% and more than 4,000 people are getting affected by the infectious virus.
Statistics 4 Aug 21:
Total Tests in Last 24 Hours: 57,398
Positive Cases: 4722
Positivity % : 8.22%

The government has pictured the situation of all hospitals across the city as fully occupied.
In case of lifting the restrictions for the August 14 celebrations, chances are high that the authorities will have a difficult time managing the aftermath.
Meanwhile, people are still responding cold-heartedly towards the new restrictions against the virus, which is reportedly way more hazardous than the previous ones.
Last year, the anniversary was observed with traditional zeal with motorcades, fireworks and music and dance as the lockdown was lifted for the day.
With a minimal amount of cases being reported last year in August, the nation unitedly celebrated the event following all prescribed guidelines, keeping each other safe from infecting the virus.
The concerned authorities haven’t disclosed any plan of action for the big day yet as they are currently focusing on controlling the surge of positivity rate and nation wonders whether it would be able to celebrate like the previous year.
