In response, PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said on a private TV channel that tearing up a notice instead of replying to it already showed PPP did not recognize PDM.

The News

Sources told News360 that PPP could join hands with Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) and disgruntled former PTI leader Jahangir Tareen to deepen roots in South Punjab.

This region of Punjab has remained a stronghold of PML-Q while Jahangir Tareen also keeps significant influence there.

Several PTI lawmakers who are in support of the sugar baron hail from South Punjab too.

Political analysts say if PPP joins PML-Q and Jahangir Tareen, the tripartite alliance could cause damage to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the next elections while Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) will also be affected.
