Will Shahbaz & Hamza Get Nabbed By FIA After NAB?

Both leaders of PML-N are currently on bails and FIA has put the condition of apprehension if they fail to appear in person

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has separately summoned opposition leaders in the national and provincial assemblies, Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz respectively, for investigation in the money-laundering case with warnings of arrest if they fail to do so.

Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz were previously booked by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in different corruption cases.

Both leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), Shahbaz and Hamza, are currently on bails and FIA has put the condition of arrest if they fail to appear in person.

The national lawmaker has been summoned on June 22 while his son, Hamza, has been asked to show up on June 24.

The call from FIA has come at a time when the federal and Punjab governments have presented their budgets that are yet to be passed.

The political analysts say that the timing of summons is quite crucial and it could be a tactic to take both PML-N leaders under pressure.

Both opposition leaders have already delivered their budget speeches in national and provincial legislatures respectively.

If they would not appear before the investigation agency in money laundering cases, they would be held.

The political analysts said that both leaders would ensure the implementation of FIA summons as their absence from the respective assemblies would impact resistance on the passage of budgets that the opposition parties intend to show.
