Will Shiffa’s Case Meet Same Fate Like Ali Zafar’s?
The anchorperson, who maintained silence for nearly two weeks, opened up and announced to file a case against Asad for defamation and harassment
In a much similar brawl like that between Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar, Hum News anchorperson Shiffa Yousafzai announced to file a case against Pakistani journalist Asad Ali Toor who tried to tarnish the image of host of Hum News breakfast show named Subha Say Agay.
Nearly two weeks ago, Asad Ali Toor shared a video on his YouTube channel Asad Toor Uncensored where he alleged Shiffa for being arriviste.
The journalist questioned Sultana Appa for giving value to anchorpersons with beautiful faces and little knowledge about current affairs.

Dear All,2 weeks ago an unscrupulous character, who seeks cheap publicity by slandering others unleashed a series of videos against me using objectionable words. Goal was to use traditional vulnerability of a Pakistani woman to intimidate & harass me and destroy my reputation. 1/3

“After discussions with friends/family, I decided to file a case against him under laws of Pakistan. His actions were clearly against our religious ethics, society norms & laws”, Shiffa maintained in a post on Twitter.
She claimed that Ali Toor sought cheap publicity and unleashed a series of videos to defame her.
“Goal was to use a traditional vulnerability of a Pakistani woman to intimidate & harass me and destroy my reputation”, she added.
Shiffa in her post was hopeful of support from her fans from across Pakistan and asserted that Asad’s actions were against religious ethics, social norms, and laws.
“Hope my stand against this obnoxious man will get the support of all decent men & women against harassment”.
She claimed that institutions and laws in Pakistan are frail and do not defend a woman.
Therefore, the host announced that she is taking this case as a ‘test’ because ‘if what Asad has done to her was not defamation and harassment then what in Pakistani law will constitute these’.
The defamation case filed by Ali Zafar against Meesha Shafi is in court for over two years and the decision is still pending.
However, it is yet to be seen whether Shiffa’s case will have the same future or not.
