Zardari behind Chaudhry Shujaat’s letter, reveals PML-Q’s Tariq Bashir Cheema

Tariq Bashir Cheema said Asif Ali Zardari may have played a key role in writing the letter.

Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) Secretary-General, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and federal government ally Tariq Bashir Cheema has made an important revelation regarding Chaudhry Shujaat’s letter, which has created a stir in the politics of the country, especially in Punjab.

Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema has made an important disclosure regarding Chaudhry Shujaat’s letter and said that it seems that Asif Ali Zardari may have played a key role in writing the letter.

While speaking to Hum News program program “Hum Meher Bokhari Kay Sath”, Cheema said that “I think that Asif Ali was the key player in writing a letter to Chaudhry Shujaat during Punjab Chief Minister (CM) election held on July 22.”

He said that he was unaware of when and where the letter was written. “That letter may have been written on the night of July 21,” Tariq Bashir Cheema speculated.

It should be remembered that Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari declared Hamza Shahbaz the winner in the Punjab CM election who got 179 votes against 186 of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi after his party’s 10 votes were rejected due to the alleged letter of Shujaat Hussain who prevented his party’s MPA from voting for the PTI candidate.

Acting Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari while announcing in the House said that the PTI-PML-Q joint candidate got 186 votes including 176 votes from PTI and 10 votes from PML-Q. “I have just received a letter from Chaudhry Shujaat instructing the party members to vote for Hamza Shahbaz.

The deputy speaker ruled that the votes cannot be cast against the party head’s order, so 10 votes of PML-Q were rejected and Hamza Shahbaz was re-elected as Punjab CM.
