A Pakistani journalist Waqas had exposed the documentary evidence of former President Asif Ali Zardari’s flat in New York and now he has shared the tax details of his New York property on social media.
Mainstream media kept a complete silence on the big revelations made regarding Asif Ali Zardari’s New York apartment.
According to documentary evidence shared by journalist Waqas, former President Asif Ali Zardari had paid flat tax in April this year. It should be noted here Zardari had submitted an affidavit to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) not to own any foreign property.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had released assets details of Pakistani politicians four days ago, according to which Asif Ali Zardari has no assets abroad.
But now Pakistani journalist Waqas has uncovered documentary evidence of the former president’s New York flat, as well as tax details. According to tax details, Asif Ali Zardari had paid the last tax on his flat in Manhattan in April this year.
Sharing tax details on Twitter, journalist Waqas wrote that:
Here are complete tax records — last paid on April 2022 — of former Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari’s Manhattan apartment. He claims in his asset declarations that this apartment does not exist. Strange that no Pakistani media is picking this up.https://t.co/sTcDybzoyg pic.twitter.com/ixU9iRt2sH

Analysts said that this is an open and shut case and the ECP should take immediate action in the presence of the documentary evidence and disqualify Zardari.
Analysts have expressed surprise that this is such a big case but the mainstream media has remained silent. He said that this is just the tail of an elephant, but it seems that neither the election commission nor the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will take action. They said that it is seemingly a mockery made by Pakistan’s powerful classes against the law.
