Lahore High Court has called for arguments on admissibility of contempt petition against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PLMN) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
The Lahore Court granted respite to the petitioner’s lawyer for hearing the contempt petition against Maryam Nawaz, vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
A hearing was held on the petition filed for defamation against Loan League leader Maryam Nawaz. The court called for arguments on the admissibility of the application.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer said that I am not related to any political base, the lawyer said that this contempt of court virus has spread a lot.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi told the lawyer that we do not control this virus, we have to work according to the law, the law will control this virus.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi said that how can this application be heard, an appeal is not filed when the application is rejected, the court adjourned the further hearing till April 5, giving time to the applicant lawyer to prepare.
It should be noted that local lawyer Shahid Rana has filed an appeal against the decision of the single bench. According to the appellant, Maryam Nawaz insulted the judiciary in the media conference.
