Cipher investigation case: Supreme Court dismisses PTI’s petitions
Justice Qazi Faez Isa said in his order that court cannot interfere with powers of executive
Three petitions filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf for a cipher investigation have been rejected by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Justice Qazi Faiz has remarked that the judiciary cannot interfere in the affairs of the executive.
Petitions were filed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan by PTI’s lawyers for a cipher probe. In the petitions filed, the lawyers’ position was that the court should order the federal government to investigate the cipher.
These applications were first objected to by the Registrar’s Office, after which their Chamber appeals were heard by Qazi Faiz Isa today.

Justice Qazi Faiz Isa during the hearing remarked that the Judiciary cannot interfere with the powers of the Executive, hence the three appeals are dismissed.
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that if the government wants, it can make the ciphers from all over the world public, if anyone else does that, it will violate the Secret Act.
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa said that if the Prime Minister wants to, he can cut ties with the world.
