In a surprise statement, a Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha has apparently ranted against Hamza Shehbaz by calling him ‘Merasi ka beta [son of a bard]’ after he held a meeting with Jahangir Tareen like-minded group.
A PML-N MNA Mohsin Nawaz Ranjha, while appearing in a ARY News political analysis programme hosted by Kashif Abbasi, was questioned about expectations of Hamza Shehbaz’s nomination as the next Punjab chief minister after the removal of Usman Buzdar.
To this, Ranjha replied that ‘Merasi ka beta ki baari nahi aani [The son of a bard won’t get the turn anyway].”

Interestingly, the statement came in after Hamza Shehbaz held a meeting with Jahangir Tareen like-minded group in which they agreed on removing Punjab CM Usman Buzdar through bringing a no-trust move.
D-Chowk to become political battleground before no-confidence motion
Ranjha further said that the PML-N secretary-general will take a final decision for the next chief minister of Punjab.
PM’s aide Dr Shahbaz Gill commented on the video, saying that the Maryam Nawaz camp has come face-to-face against Hamza Sharif, exposing the cracks within the PML-N’s leadership.
PTI to expose turncoats: Shahbaz Gill
In a statement, PM’s aide on political communication, Dr Shahbaz Gill had said that they finalised the strategy to surprise the opposition after consulting intelligent people to foil the no-confidence motion.
He had claimed that the PTI government is fully informed of the opposition’s contacts and the ally parties will be seen standing alongside the government at the time of decision.
Dr Shahbaz Gill had said they will declare those disqualified before the voting on the no-trust move who have sold their conscience and their names will be written as traitors on posters. PTI workers will throw shoes on the traitors’ posters in every city and the lesson will be given to the generations of the traitors.
