Imran Khan has two options: Will become Nawaz Sharif or Bhutto

Top officials of government gave two options to Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf in context of events of May 9

In context of events of May 9, top officials of government have given two options to Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf Imran Khan either he should leave country or else he will face military courts. Analysts say that it remains to be seen whether former prime minister becomes Nawaz Sharif or Bhutto because options are wide open.

Sources have told News 360 that two days ago top officials of government met Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan at Zaman Park in Lahore. In meeting, he gave two options to Imran Khan on behalf of government.

Imran Khan has two options

The government officials put two options before Imran Khan during the meeting.

(1): The first option was that if they stayed in the country, they would be taken as the planners of the May 9 events. And they will be tried in military courts. And if it is proved that they are guilty then they have to be ready for punishment.

(2): Another option was to temporarily close the book on his politics and go into temporary exile and join his sons in Britain. If they don’t, the first option is open to the government.

Comment

Analysts say that it will not be difficult at all for the government to prove that Imran Khan was the mastermind of the May 9 events. And they will be punished. So it is better that they accept the second option and go into temporary exile.

Rates of Convictions by Military Courts

It should be noted that the government reinstated military courts after the APS tragedy.

Since then, their conviction rate has been 97 percent, according to data obtained by News360. Only three percent of people have been granted exemption from military courts.

According to data, 50 to 55 people convicted by military courts have been sentenced to death so far.

If Imran Khan stays in the country, he will have to undergo a trial by military courts, otherwise, he can go out of the country, and if the conditions are right, he can come back to the country again.
