LNG references: Non-bailable arrest warrant issues for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

The Accountability Court of Islamabad has issued a non-arrest warrant for the central leader of Pakistan Muslim League, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the LNG case.

As soon as National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Aftab Sultan resigned, a non-arrest warrant was issued in the LNG case of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Important progress has been made in the LNG reference in the Accountability Court. The court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed has issued a warrant against the former prime minister for not filing an immunity application despite his non-appearance in the case.

In the LNG reference, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was summoned by the Accountability Court of Islamabad today, but his lawyer did not appear in the court.

It should be noted that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been continuously making anti-government statements for the past few days, due to which he has also been asked to resign from the party post.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail have continuously criticized the PML-N’s style of government, on the basis of which they are also facing pressure from the party leadership.

Senior journalist Ansar Abbasi claimed in his column that Chairman NAB Aftab Sultan has resigned, after which Chairman NAB has resigned from the post today.

Ansar Abbasi had written in his column that there is pressure on Chairman NAB Aftab Sultan from the current government regarding the cases, but he refused to accept the pressure.
