To make browsing handier and more convenient, tech giants Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft have joined hands to improve internet browsing.
Apart from being traditional rivals, the companies’ teams are working on the same note to improve extensions in their browsers, and announcements were made that the companies will be coming together at World Wide Web Consortium, the main international standards organization for the worldwide web.

An online forum, Web Extensions Community Group (WECG), has been developed by Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon to give engineers a platform to work together.
One of the reasons behind this development is to make extension creation easier and the companies are going to develop a consistent model and common core of functionality.
“The browser teams at these four companies will outline an architecture that enhances performance and is even more secure and resistant to abuse”, Gadget Now reported.
On the other hand, the companies also welcomed other browsers and developers to join hands to make browsing the internet easier.
Meanwhile, no timeline has been announced for the results of these combined efforts.
On the other hand, the G7 nations reached a landmark deal to pursue higher global taxation on giants like Google, Apple, and Amazon.
The move came in as an effort to raise billions to cope up with aftermath of the covid-19 pandemic and the companies will no longer be able to dodge their tax obligations.
