Provincial Minister of Punjab for Industries, Commerce, Investment, and Skill Development turned out the harbinger of glad tidings for the people of Pakistan with the announcement of “Made in Pakistan” mobile phones.
The minister shared the good news in a post and maintained that VIVO, one of the world’s popular smartphone brands, has started production in Faisalabad, Pakistan.

VIVO Y20, the first mobile that has been produced in Pakistan, is shown in the pictures as the production has been kicked-off at the plant in Faisalabad.
The government of Pakistan signed the agreement with the Chinese tech giant a few months back as announced by Hammad Azhar, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Industries.

VIVO, established in 2009, is a Chinese phone brand that makes low-cost Android phones with around 200 million current users around the world.

The production of VIVO smartphones in Pakistan is a significant initiative that can be fruitful in reducing the costs of the consumers and help to eliminate the issue of smuggled devices.
Mian Aslam Iqbal also hinted towards other companies as well that are willing to set up production plants in Pakistan.
