The downtime of Mark Zuckerberg’s Empire – comprising Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger – of around an hour freaked out billions of users around the world.
All three applications – that are part of Zukerberg’s empire – ceased to function around 11 pm (PST) on Friday.
The less-than-an-hour pause left people worried and plain as they were unable to operate all three ‘indispensable’ apps.
All three apps displayed an error when billions of users around the world tapped the icon to open them.
Thousands of users around the world inquired about outage on different alternate platforms. Later it was known that it wasn’t just a problem faced by an area or a city but by billions of users around the globe.

However, the golich of less than an hour brought a surge in registrations for Signal app which has widely been perceived as an alternate to Whatsapp after its controversial privacy policy.

The downtime emerged as a challenge for Mark Zuckerberg which enabled the users to think moving to alternate platforms especially after Facebook has been lampooned for breaching privacies.
