Elon Musk Puts Humanoid Robot on Tesla’s Map

Revealing details, the chief engineer at SpaceX said the robot will be about 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weigh around 125 pounds

Crowning himself as Technoking of Tesla, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the electric car company, Elon Musk, revealed that they are working on a humanoid robot titled The Tesla Bot.

Revealing details, the chief engineer at SpaceX said the Tesla Bot will be about 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weigh around 125 pounds.

The prototype of the robot will be ready by next year and the company will take advantage of Tesla’s experience with automated machines and autopilot driver-assistance software.

The robot will be designed at a user-friendly mechanical level and there will be a human face displaying useful information.

Projecting the new venture, Tesla’s website says that the idea is to develop the next generation of automation including a general-purpose bipedal humanoid robot that will capable of performing unsafe, repetitive, and boring tasks.

Addressing at the Tesla AI Day, Musk said that his company had been planning to take the next logical step for the company by building a humanoid robot.

For navigation, Tesla’s robot will be comprised of the tools that are present in the company’s car manufacturing including sensors, cameras, and neural networks.

He hasn’t hinted at how much the robot will be available for sale but he seems profound that technology will have an impact on the economy.

Although a human-like robot that can perform perfectly as a being had been proven difficult till now, people will have to look for another income source with this successful invention.
