The Reels feature was rolled out globally in August followed by Shops that have been under testing for a few months.
The Shop tab is a better way to connect with brands, find products you love and support small businesses 🛍
You can find personalized recommendations, editors’ picks and more 🙌

Reels is the feature allowing to upload up to 30-seconds short videos, a take on TikTok.
After launching Reels a few months ago, we’re rolling out a Reels tab to make it easier to discover short, fun videos and share your creativity with the world🤳 pic.twitter.com/x9p5CNLggD

The tab opens up a single reel at a time which can be changed by swiping up and down, similar to how TikTok works.
According to Instagram’s Director of Product Management, Robby Stein, they are trying to make this update easy to use the expanded products available on Instagram while maintaining simplicity.
