KARACHI: The advertisement billboards of a matchmaking and dating app for Muslims, Muzz formerly Muzmatch, have gone viral online after people took photos of the signboards with unique messages.

The billboards read the catchy advertisement lines, “Karachi mein 2 crore log hain aur tum abhi b single ho? There are 20 million people living in Karachi but you are still single.”

Another photo read, “Pakistan mein 22 crore log hain aur tum abhi b single ho? There are 220 million people in Pakistan and you are still single.”

Another ad line read, “Rishtay WhatsApp per nahi, Muzz pe buntay hain.”

For some people, it was fun to read the messages but others found it wrong and termed it un-Islamic.

In a May 11 tweet, the company posted, “THINGS HAVE CHANGED…FOR THE BETTER. CEO Shaz responds to your juicy comments about our new app Muzz! Continue to share your thoughts down below.

The May 4 post read, “It’s official. We lost our legal fight. muzmatch is dead. Welcome Muzz! It’s more than a new name and a fresh coat of paint. We’ve taken your feedback and added new features we think you’ll love. Stay tuned, this is just the beginning of the exciting changes coming up as Muzz.”
