Less than a day after the landing, the United States space agency released a handful of colored images captured during the rover’s descent.

“This landing is one of those pivotal moments for NASA, the United States, and space exploration globally – when we know we are on the cusp of discovery and sharpening our pencils, so to speak, to rewrite the textbooks,” said acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk.
Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, the first helicopter to fly on another planet, was attached to the belly of the rover and sent its initial reports after the landing.
The reports signaled all green for the rover and the helicopter.
The successful landing was confirmed by an Indian-American scientist Dr Swati Mohan.
