Pakistani International Badminton Star, Mahoor Shahzad, has made the nation proud in the field of sports by availing Badminton World Federation (BWF) fully-funded scholarship and became the first Pakistani female badminton player to achieve 133rd spot in the global ranking.
Mahoor took to her social media accounts on February 10 to announce the news of securing the title ‘National Champion of Pakistan’ consecutively five times and shared details of points scored in semi-final and final.

After a month on March 10, the 24-year-old Pakistani badminton player shared that she has been selected by Badminton World Federation (BWF) for fully-funded scholarship for the University of London’s PG Certificate in Sports Management.
BWF selected Mahoor as the best fit for their 100% scholarship out of 70 applicants from 35 countries.

In an interview with The Nation, the badminton star added that she has been working very hard to improve her international rankings and wished to represent Pakistan in the upcoming Olympics that will be conducted in Tokyo, Japan this year.

Mahoor was the only Pakistani player to win a Gold medal in Pakistan International Series 2019, Nepal International Tournament 2018, and Pakistan International Series 2017.
She was awarded a Bronze Medal in Bulgaria International Tournament and Silver Medal in Pakistan International Series 2016.
