Equaling the records of bowling legend Wasim Akram, Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi completed his 50 Test wickets in 16 matches in the ongoing first test match against Zimbabwe and that too at the age of 21.

Shaheen Afridi ,who took internet by storm after former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi confirmed that his daughter was getting engaged to Pakistani fast bowler, has once again gained attention of cricket fans.

Afridi took four wickets for 43 in 15.2 overs adding another milestone in his records.

Shaheen’s 50th wicket was against Zimbabwe’s batsman Tendai Chisoro in the 52nd over of the first Test’s first innings.

Wasim Akram had also completed his 50 wickets in the same number of test matches.

Interestingly, both left-arm bowlers got their 50th wicket at the age of 21.

Pakistan managed to bowl out Zimbabwe for 176 after the host team decided to bat first.

Currently, Pakistani leg spinner Yasir Shah is the fastest player to take 50 Test wickets which he did in only 9 matches.

Players including Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Abid Ali, and Imran Butt were able to place Pakistan in a strong position against Zimbabwe in the first Test match at the Harare Sports Club.

Pakistan Super League (PSL) has also helped 21-year-old bowler to groom his bowling skills.

Seeing the achievement of Shaheen Afridi, the fans took to Twitter to appreciate the youngster and wished him good luck for the future.
